Kin Advancement Guidelines

Kin promotions are based on continued contributions to the kin over long periods of time.

For information on the benefits of various kin positions, see benefits.

Recruit

To be recruited, you must demonstrate the following while fellowing with a member of the Refugees:

  • Skill
  • Teamwork
  • Solid communication

Member

To be promoted to member, you must demonstrate the following for at least a few weeks:

  • Participate in fellowships with other kin members
  • Share loot / crafted goods
  • Donate excess materials to the kin
  • Have a friendly, welcoming attitude in Kin chat
  • Recruit new members
  • Participate in non-lotro Kin activities such as being active in the forum or the blog

Ideally you'd demonstrate all of the above, but we'll also notice if you excel in any particular area. All promotions to member must be initiated by an officer, be seconded by another officer, and then be performed by the leader.

Officer

To be promoted to officer, you must demonstrate the following on a continual basis for several months:

  • Be a role model in everything expected of our members:
    • Participate in fellowships with other kin members
    • Share loot / crafted goods
    • Donate excess materials to the kin
    • Have a friendly, welcoming attitude in Kin chat
    • Recruit new members
    • Participate in non-lotro Kin activities such as being active in the forum or the blog
  • Volunteer for some Kin roles

You are required to do the following:

  • Join Wikidot and Wordpress. Send your wikidot user name and email address used for Wordpress to Mandymoore.
  • Take on lead responsibilities for at least one Kin role.

All promotions to officer must be initiated by an officer, be seconded by at least 2 officers, and then be performed by the leader.
